The poster folded into A5, the illustration creating a striking graphic on the front cover, and I designed a map of Europe for the reverse.
Eurotunnel
A poster for children illustrating facts about the Channel Tunnel with accompanying map of Europe. A simplified version featured in The Guardian Travel Guide.

The poster had to appeal to children of school age and be fun, engaging and incorporate a series of facts within the illustration. An accompanying map had to be included on the reverse that used colours and illustrations from the main poster.
I proposed 2 designs, the chosen incorporated an illustration of the tunnel that I had designed for a previous project.
The challenge was to design each element to hold copy, keep the train cross-section separate and also keep the composition balanced and engaging.
Once the elements were finalised, the facts were put in place with a timeline positioned at the top, and some illustrations were pulled out for advertorials.
